Third party Escalator Inspections – Escalators operating in the state of Maryland are required to have an annual safety completed by an elevator company. This annual safety test must be witnessed by a 3rd party elevator inspector.
Pre-Final Inspections – Required for any new unit that is being constructed for service. The owner of the new unit or the elevator company must hire a QEI to perform a Pre-Final inspection prior to the state completing its final inspection.
Fire Alarm Test Assistance – Our licensed elevator mechanics will meet your fire alarm company to assist with the annual smoke/heat detector testing. We will reset the elevator system and provide accedss to the hoist way and pit to test devices.
District of Columbia
Routine/Periodic elevator inspection – Required for elevator units 6 months in between the witnessed Annual elevator inspection. This inspection is not a witnessed test.
Annual Elevator Inspection – The annual safety test that is performed by Maintenance Company must be witnessed by an authorized 3rd party elevator inspection company. This test includes AIS witnessing the no load test for traction cars and a pressure test for hydraulic elevators
Category 5/5 year Elevator Inspection – Traction elevators are required to have a full load test every five years that the elevator is in service. This test must be witnessed by a 3rd party qualified elevator inspector.
Final Inspection for Modernization and Construction jobs – When an elevator is being constructed or modernized to be in service, the unit must have a final inspection completed.
Routine/Periodic elevator inspection – Required for elevator units 6 months.
3T Hydraulic Inpsection - Every 3 years hydraulic elevators are tested by the maintenance compants and witnessed by an authorized third party inspector.
5T Traction Inspection - Every 5 years traction elevators are tested by the maintenance company without load. Safeties are applied to verify operation. This test is witnessed by an authorized third party inspector.
